About Us

Who We Are

Our editorial focus is home security systems, monitoring options, installation and the costs of protecting a home.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help readers in the United States make informed, safe choices about the best home security systems. We cut through marketing noise, technical jargon, and conflicting claims to give you clear, fact-based guidance you can trust.

What We Cover

Our editorial coverage centers on the best home security systems available in the US. We review and compare monitored and self-monitored systems, wireless and wired setups, smart home integrations, cameras, sensors, professional installation options, monthly monitoring costs, contract terms, and overall value. We also explain key features like video verification, mobile alerts, battery backup, and privacy considerations.

Editorial Independence

We may earn affiliate commissions when readers click links on orcanos.us and make a purchase. These commissions help support our work, but they do not influence our editorial rankings, review scores, or recommendations. Our evaluations are based on independent research, hands-on testing where possible, and a consistent set of criteria. No manufacturer, provider, or advertiser can pay for placement or a favorable review.
